Welcome to Novis Newsletter
The closest thing you’ll get to being inside my head (it’s fun here, I promise!). You can expect monthly updates on my life (I started this newsletter for friends and family), including recommendations on things to read, eat and watch, as well as (usually) weekly posts varying from rants essays on culture, relationships and my post-grad crisis, as well as the occasional exploration of how to get a Sexy Job.
The first-date intro
Hi! I’m Julia, a 23-year-old Brazilian living in London. I spent my childhood in Brazil, my teen years in Brussels and moved to London for university. Raised by two journalists, books were my first love and led me to study Comparative Literature at university. I recently(ish) graduated from a Master’s in International Marketing and am now trying to navigate life as a post-grad. Besides reading (just about anything save for self-help), I spend my free time running, cooking, writing and travelling (staying true to my Sagittarius nature). My favourite meal is brunch (a weekly occurrence to keep me both sane and up to date with my friends’ lives), my favourite colours are red and green, I have always have Taylor Swift, Norah Jones or the Lord of the Rings score playing in the background when I work and my go-to pre-game playlist includes dcom bangers and anything you might hear in a frat basement. I love a spreadsheet more than the average person and have been called outrageous as both an insult and a compliment more than once. I hope you stick around!
